Plymouth Art Weekender
About Plymouth Art Weekender
Plymouth Art Weekender is an artist-led festival in which creatives across the city open up galleries, studios and all manner of unexpected spaces to the public. Running since the middle of the last decade, it turns streets and buildings into canvases, bringing together everyone from community art groups to nationally recognised names in one free, city-wide programme.
With dozens of venues taking part, visitors can follow their own trail through exhibitions, hands-on workshops, performances and pop-up installations. It is a grassroots, do-it-yourself celebration of Plymouth's contemporary art scene, and a brilliant way to discover the talent rooted in Britain's Ocean City.
