Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival

About Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival

Budleigh Salterton Literary Festival is a warm, well-loved gathering in the genteel east Devon town, drawing bestselling novelists, historians, broadcasters and poets to the coast each September. Across several days it fills local venues with talks, interviews and readings, in a setting that pairs big literary names with small-town charm.

Run by a dedicated team of volunteers, it has grown a strong reputation for the quality of its programme and the friendliness of its welcome. For book lovers in Devon, it is a highlight of the autumn calendar and a lovely excuse to visit the Jurassic Coast.
